Patsy's 24 hour Bathroom Makeover

Cute, isn't she?
So innocent looking........ HA!

It's amazing what a tiny little 18 pounder with teeth and claws can do in a span of about 15 minutes.

We're going back in time to early 2006.  Patsy was about 6 months old and LOVED to chew.  Chew, chew, chew.  And she chewed right through the bathroom floor linoleum down to the sub-flooring.  (She managed to chew up my couch that same day but we'll save that for another post.) Patsy also has impeccable timing and did this the same day we had company coming to visit from out of town.  Now if you remember from my earlier posts and do the math, you'll remember that in 2006, this was our ONLY bathroom.

And so begins our journey of remodeling... One room at a time.  Shush it!!  I told you these blogs weren't going to be in chronological order!

The damage
Even though we hate to admit it, Ms Patz did us sort of a favor because we hated our bathroom at the time and wanted to give it a makeover.  We just didn't want to have to do it in a span of less than 24 hours.  In which we did.  We seriously could have been on one of those TLC shows that weekend.  Trading Spaces couldn't hold a candle to us!

The prep work

I wish I could post better pictures but it was hard to get good shots of a room the size of shoe box.

And, 24 hours later........

Wah-lah!

This post would not be complete without a huge shout out to our friends Dustin & Jodie who rode in on a white horse and saved the day.  Well, actually it wasn't a white horse.  It was in a pick-up in which we desperately needed because at the time, we didn't have one and we really didn't want to have to strap a new bathroom vanity to the roof of my Chrysler.  Or the new couch.
